What is an Energy Glazed Window & Door system? Energy Glazed refers to the way the window’s glass is put together. All Biscayne Energy Glazed windows and doors contain Insulated Glass (two pieces of glass sealed together with an aluminum spacer). This gives the windows not only two pieces of glass to stop the transfer of hot air into your home, but also creates a dead air space which significantly slows the heat flow process. Furthermore, each glass unit is coated with Low E. Low-E glass is created by adding an ultra thin metallic coating on or in the glass that works by stopping Infared Light (which is basically heat) from passing through the glass thereby reflecting heat back to its source.
